About the author

Recent grad with a B.A. in Anthropology and Psychology. Human skeletal analysis and zooarchaeology are my favorite things. If it is osteology related, I love it. I also like to draw silly things, so there is a bit of that on here as well. Current Mission: Get out there in the 2013 field season! I will dig ALL the STP's!

A zooarchaeological casual chat

No trouble at all! Sounds like fun! I have never skinned something as small as a mouse skeleton. I also usually bury my dead and dig them back up later. She could boil it if she removed the skin with an exacto knife and took out the innards- then it’s like a tiny chicken! My email is XXXXXXX  if she wants to contact me.

My friend, Anna, knows how to get a job done.
If you go the boiling route, I’m sure she will tell you all the equipment you need to de=flesh it safely and protect yourself.

Pertinent background info: we both live in Minnesota, USA. The ground is very acidic and things rot pretty fast.

Anna is a sweet and marvelous lady.

Skeletalwhaleshark/Chloe, tumblr message me for Anna’s e-mail address. She’s more than happy to answer any and all questions you have for her
I once traded her for a guinea pig skeleton, so she gets the bones very clean and shiny and smell-nicey somehow… Whatever she does, it works.

Meticulous Hand Paintings

It is amazing the number of talented hyperrealist artists out there. In this post, you can see another fine example: the work of Javier Arizabalo. The way he paints skin textures is just exquisite, and his lighting is beautiful in each composition.

THIS IS PORN.

^^^ SHOULD HAVE TAGGED THIS, MAN
